Greetings Hoarders,

Well, it's been a few days since I visited you. I had to take a mini break to make some art and write, but today I have a lot of updates for you!

Where to begin... 

Let's start with the derpy you all voted for! You loved the derpy on the bookstack to be the 9th design to join the hoard!

But there's 2 quote options and you'll get to vote in today's poll which one gets to be the pin.


I also finished the other designs, but I'll save them for tomorrow's update. 😘. (Or you can hop over to my Patreon and get a sneak peek! Link via the achievements below)

Returning backer stretch goals;
I spent some time looking at the stats in the backend of the campaign, and I realized that there's over 100 returning backers! 🥳🤯Which means that they unlocked a FREE pin upgrade for returning backers (instead of a sticker)

But, I know that every one else will also love this design, it is the mini book derpy stretch goal afterall.

So, a RED DRAGON BOOK DERPY will unlock as an add-on design at $25,000. (I lowered the stretchgoal from 30k to 25k because I had requested everyone who wanted Mushy to support it via my son's campaign so we can pay his tuition)

But that's not all. Once we hit $35,000 I'll add the RED DRAGON BOOK DERPY to all pledges with 5+ pins as a FREE pin to say thank you! Ambitious? Sure. But not impossible!
 

This way all backers have a chance to get this little derpy for their collection. And, I was thinking that going forward, I'll switch the dragon colours for returning backers when we get 100 for any campaign so that all my wonderful weirdlings can make a mini hoard of book derpies!

Speaking of weirdlings, I finally put together a graphic for the 300 backer stretchgoal where ALL backers get a free pin! We have 7 days left to get 75 more backers, which is more than doable!

Now, it may be obvious that I was on a bit of a design spree as I also put together the sticker stretch goals... BOTH ARE UNLOCKED!



I may be a little obsessed with this book derpy...ngl.

Greetings Hoarders,

You guys did it! Together we have reached $5000 on both my AND my son's campaign, Mushroom Hunt!

Which means that little "Mushy" will join the horde! (as an add-on)


While you are welcome to add–on through your pledge here, I'd like you to consider doing it through his. Since all profit from this specific pin will go directly into his education fund. (He's an aspiring artist after all, and what better way to pay for art education than through selling art!)

As extra incentive, we have made the entire set available at an exclusive backer price! (which will go up after the campaign ends)



In other news, it's time to start voting on which 3 derpies will join the hoard for the 9-11th designs as our adventure continues through the great library of shenanigans.

They are still in sketch mode - I've been busy writing my next novel this past week and as such, haven't done much drawing. But I'll start drawing them once votes are in.

What type of book you may ask? Well it would most certainly be enjoyed by this little derpy, who sadly didn't win the popularity contest.

But that's okay. Just like not all books are for everyone, not all derpies are either. 😘

And since we revealed all the derpies now, check out the bookshelf! In fact, I just had an idea...this might make a cute bookmark! So, what about a new stretch goal? (maybe) I'll look into the logistics, and let you know more in the next update or two! (Gotta go math some first)

🐉Derpy Shenanigans at its finest...Vote now open

Greetings Hoarders,

Oops, the Derpies were up to some shenanigans with the poll last night. 

I have now updated the library system and reverted back to paper and stamps, so you can vote again.
 
Which Derpy did it? Was it perhaps a stray spell by the witchy librarian? Or the thought police who raided the best books on the shelves? 

Let me know who you think the culprit was!

Tomorrow I will introduce the vote for the next 3 derpies. They are still sketches, but perhaps I'll do a livestream again and you can watch me draw them into the pins?

Let me know if you like livestreams. (If there's enough interest I'll make it work) I'm not really good at it, but I'm willing to do uncomfortable things for my art 😂. Maybe next weekend...

Oh, and I really think we will get to 300 backers before the end of the campaign! So help share the derpy love with friends and family who likes dragons!

Greetings Hoarders,

You discovered the author derpy in the library dungeons. Deciding that you've had enough adventure for one day, you return to the main library to relax with a good dragon story. Let me know who joins you next!

Speaking of stories, this Derpy actually has a rather emotional story behind it.

In Nov last year my oldest son was hit by a car while walking home from school, and I received the call no parent should ever get.

While we waited in the ER, I found his sketchbook in his backpack and my hands just started drawing.

As long as I drew, I didn't fall apart. I think that worry was captured in the Derpy's expression.

Long story short, my son is recovering, in fact he's the one running Mushroom Hunt! And while there's still challenges ahead, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I think it's one of the reasons this campaigns is so special to me, is  because I am still able to run it together with him. 

When the Derpies first found me, I had no idea the adventures they would take me on. From laughing out loud to crying with every pen stroke, these little guys have been there for me. Like a warm blanket right out of the dryer on a cold winter's day, they are my emotional security blankies. And it's my hope that they bring that same warmth to you.

So warm derpy dragon wishes for you today!
